What mattresses are recommended for these Murphy Beds?

Bestar Murphy Beds are designed to be compatible with most standard innerspring or memory foam mattresses that are 8-12 inches thick, weighing 60-90 lbs, and measuring 60x80 inches (Queen size). For Full size Murphy Beds, mattresses are typically 8-10 inches thick, 60-90lbs and 54 x 75 inches. This ensures proper operation of the bed mechanism and optimal comfort. Please note that the mattress must not contain a box spring, as this will not fit properly in the cabinet.
How long does it take to assemble a Murphy Bed?

Assembly time varies by model and installer experience, but generally takes between 8 and 12 hours. This includes unpacking, organizing parts, assembling and securing the unit which requires attachment to wood studs or masonry, removal of the baseboard, and drilling into the floor. To avoid risk of injury, bed must be installed to wall and floor structure by a professional or qualified person. Two people are required for assembly at all times.

What level of skill do I need to install a Murphy Bed?

Installing a Murphy Bed requires advanced skills and the ability to locate and anchor the unit to wall studs. Installation involves attachment to wall and floor structures (wood studs or masonry), removal of the baseboard, and drilling into the floor. Because the unit must be safely and accurately installed, we strongly recommend hiring a professional installer or contractor. This ensures both your safety and the product's longevity.
What if I move or need to relocate the Murphy Bed to another space?

Murphy Beds are designed to be wall-mounted and semi-permanent. Since installation involves wall and floor anchoring, moving the Murphy Bed requires professional disassembly and reinstallation. This process is similar to the original assembly and should be performed by professionals to avoid damage and ensure a secure installation.
Why are there extra parts in my box?

It’s normal to find a few extra screws, bolts, or small components in your hardware pack. Bestar includes these spare parts to account for the possibility of loss during assembly or to provide replacements in case of minor damage. If you are unsure whether a part is extra or required, consult the instruction manual to confirm before discarding anything.
Where are Bestar products made?
Most Bestar products are manufactured in North America using domestic and imported components. Few select products are manufactured overseas to meet specific design and manufacturing requirements. Please check the description on the product page for the country of manufacture.

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a tracking number by email. We suggest you track the delivery to plan for the arrival of your furniture. The merchandise will be delivered in front of your home or office. If the boxes are large (box dimensions can be found on the product page), we suggest you get help to move the boxes inside.

Don’t recycle your boxes just yet! Items eligible for a return must be in their original condition and packaging.

It’s easy to initiate a return! Send an email to our customer service team’s returns division at freight@bestar.ca. Please include your order number in the email. Proof of purchase is required for all returns.

If the item is returned in its original condition and packaging, we will refund the price of the item at the time of purchase. A 20% deduction will be applied to cover restocking fees.

Our furniture is warranted to the original owner against defects in materials or workmanship. These defects include all the imperfections that can affect the use of the product. As is most often the case, our warranty covers the normal use of the product. To this effect, note that except for the Outdoor collection, our furniture is not intended to be used outdoors.

Our warranty is expressly limited to the replacement of components and furniture for the period specified on the product sheet, and it does not include labor or assembly costs.
